Digital X-ray
Since 2007 radiography has been produced with a digital technique
The radiographs are no longer archived as before, on films. They are instead archived on digital folie, developed and retained in the central computer. The radiographs can immediately be put into the network of our practice which extends to all examination rooms and to the OP room, and can then be seen by all doctors on their computer screens.
An essential advantage is found in the fast availability of the radiograph and the possibility of later editing.
The pictures can be printed on paper, burned on CD or when necessary sent world wide by e-mail.
By means of the digital technique, the radiation exposure is reduced for the patients. Further, we do not need chemicals (developers and fixers) for development, whereby a service is rendered to the environment.
