What are IGel-Services?
Individual health services are, according to the definition of the Federal Organization for Medical Coverage, physicians’ services which do not fall under the services of the compulsory health insurance companies, which, nevertheless, are demanded by patients and are medically recommendable.
The compulsory health insurances companies should, according to the Book of Social Laws (Sozialgesetzbuch), provide medical assistance which is economically appropriate and sufficient. In analogy to our school grading system, hardly a passing grade.
Modern medicine can do more!
In our group practice we offer a choice of IGEL-Services, which are established, scientifically based practices which further your health. Not without reason, however, are these medical therapies normally accepted by all private medical insurances. The usefulness of IGel-Services in Germany is recognized in conjunction with osteoporosis. Every second woman over 50 years old is affected. A DXA - testing will be paid by the compulsory health insurance companies, if a vertebral fracture occurs without a significant accident.
